Rotary Club of Patong Beach Tsunami Relief Trip Report

Trip location: Baan Pak Triam, Kuraburi

The purpose of this Tsunami Relief trip was to check up on all Rotary Club of Patong Beach projects in the Kuraburi area.

Housing - All houses are completed and moved into. They look great and the Ban Pak Triam residents have allot of pride in them.

Wastewater Systems – Now all are installed and functioning. I inspected all systems and noted a few installation details to have fixed, but they are all installed.

Water System – The water tower can not be finished till there is a week or so of non rain period. The area where it is located is subject to flooding and the ground is to moist for a crane to get in and lift the 6 meter high water tank platform.

Drinking Water System – They will start to construct a rain protective roof or small building to install the Drinking water system. ESP will present the final quote and invoice and start to manufacture it this week.

Boats and Fishing Gear – They said they needed to order some steel for the fish pens, however, Sam thought we all ready had paid for this. We need Jerone or the treasure to confirm this or not?
