Fellow Rotarians, Dear Friends,

It is with great pleasure that I can congratulate and that I'm able to wish the best, to the newly appointed Presidents and Board Members for the upcoming R.I. Year 2011-2012.

The format of this message might look a little bit unusual, compared to previous editions, as I am addressing the Board of the Clubs on Phuket Island, which consists of Area 7 & 8, and the newly created Area 29.

To clarify my position as Assistant Governor (as in the installation-booklet of June 30, 2011), Area 29 is the only “virtual” Area in District 3330, the English-speaking Clubs, being the Rotary Club of Patong Beach, the Rotary Club of Koh Samui and finally the Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin.

As I mentioned earlier, I extend my wishes to all Club Officers on Phuket Island and in Area 29 at the same time. As Rotary International President Kalyan Banerjee mentioned, I hope you all will open up your hearts, to “Reach Within”, to make our world a better place, and “to Embrace Humanity”.

Plenty of occasions will come up during this Rotary Year, to work together and to help our District Governor, Khun Orachorn Saisrithong, achieving her goals and those set by Rotary Thailand and Rotary International.

We will have the great opportunity to help with the Rotary Convention in Bangkok, 6 to 9 May 2012 and during that same year we will celebrate the 20th Anniversary of District 3330.
