Children are the future of a country, and in Thailand, they are considered the most valuable resource. A Thai saying states, "Children are the nation's future; if the children are intelligent, the country will be prosperous." Like other countries, Thailand observes National Children's Day, which is celebrated on the second Saturday of January every year. It is known as "Wan Dek" in Thai. This day is celebrated with fun activities for children and introduces them to their significant role in the country's development. The Rotary Club of Patong Beach is participating in the event organized by the mayor of Patong. Fifteen of our club members plus family members joined us today to make countless kids happy with free ice cream and face paintings. The pictures speak for itself. We also received a cheque from Flughafenverein Munich e.V., represented by Thomas Bihler, for 6,000 Euros (230,000 THB) to support our children's swimming program. Thank Thomas and Flughafenverein Munich.
