Handover GG 2342607 Dialysis Machines

RC Patong Beach is proud to be part of a Global Grant project #2342607 in the amount of 100k USD led by RC Poochaosamingprai and RC Euijeongbu-Hoiryong from South Korea to equip a local hospital with hemodialysis machines and RO water system needed to support them. Four machines + RO system is phase 1 of a multi-year project aiming for a total of 20 machines. Nowadays in Thailand, kidney failure due to various reasons including but not limited to diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, and poor diet is one of the challenges faced by medical professionals. Hemodialysis is one way to treat kidney failure by cleaning the blood with filter 3-4 times weekly so that patients are able carry on an active life despite failing kidneys. Blood cleaning on a regular basis is an expensive undertaking. It requires sophisticated machine and a team of dedicated professionals. We hope that the machines will be put to good and well maintained for years to come.
