In Memoriam Arnaud | Rotary Club of Patong Beach

The Rotary world is saddened by the passing on of an outstanding, warmhearted, and philanthropic figure, Arnaud C.M.C. Verstraete on July 4^th, 2023, a few weeks short of his 63^rd birthday.

Past President Arnaud, who lived in Phuket for over 30 years was a charter member of the Rotary Club of Patong Beach, chartered on September 5^th, 2001.

Late PP Arnaud became the 5^th President of our Rotary Club for the year 2005-2006. His service as President started just over six months after the Tsunami hit Phuket and his year was an intense burst of service projects and helping the region recover.

He served in almost all board positions on the club level but also took positions on District 3330 level. For a few years, he was Chair of the Arch Klumph Society Sub-committee for Southern Clubs in District 3330.

PP. Arnaud is not only a Rotarian who understands and acts according to Rotary's ideals. He also devoted most of his wealth to The Rotary Foundation without expecting direct or indirect advantages or benefits. So he is an exemplary example for Rotarians and Rotaractors. He was a proud member of the Arch Klumph Society, which represents the Rotary Foundation's highest tier of donors.

PP Arnaud's dedication and leadership during his presidency and AKS member demonstrated his remarkable character and leadership in service. His contributions as a Rotarian were extraordinary. He will be remembered as an outstanding person who made a significant impact on the lives of many.

PP Arnaud's legacy will continue to inspire us all in our Rotary endeavors.
