Safe Roads Project

In partnership with Rotary Road Safety Committee District 3330 and Safer Roads Foundation UK we implemented safer U Turn’s in 8 locations on the 402 highway from the airport to Heroines monument in collaboration with Phuket’s Traffic Police and Highway department.Along with new zebra crossings and warning lights at Thepkrasuttree (Heroines) roundabout.

Over a 5 year period there have been over 30 deaths and 350 fatal injuries on just the U-Turns along. This project was completed in September 2025, slowing the traffic down and making permanent U-Turn safety barriers and hopefully unnecessary loss of life and injury.
